Rachael, Rosie and Jasper are 3 terrific young people from Sandgate District High School who were awarded First Place and Runners Up at Lions Youth of the Year 2015.

I was delighted to have coached Rachael, Rosie and Jasper, in their speaking and presentation skills ready for the Zone 8 Finals. We got together for several sessions at school, during their lunch breaks and then a full afternoon of coaching. 

The evening event, hosted by Lions’ Bramble Bay Club, included impromptu speaking and a 5 minute prepared speech given by students of local high schools. Sandgate Principal Jeanette Gentle leaned over and commented, “That is the best I’ve heard them speak!” and then, even better, they went on to win!
